Postdoc on protein evolution
Mission
Our group mainly focuses on modeling evolution and extracting information from evolutionary data, from molecules to microbial populations. We develop approaches based on mathematical and physics-based modeling, statistical inference and machine learning (especially protein language models). Possible projects include studying the evolution of protein-protein interactions, and inferring evolutionary constraints from sequence data, both in general and in specific cases motivated by experimental collaborations. Postdocs are given substantial intellectual freedom to develop their own research directions.
We are an interdisciplinary group and we welcome people with diverse backgrounds and trainings. For instance, people with training in physics, applied mathematics, computer science, biophysics, computational biology or life sciences engineering can all fit in the Laboratory.
