Postdoc position in Combinatorics
Mission
A postdoc position is available from January 2025 at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) in the group of Dr Oliver Janzer. (Institute of Mathematics).
We seek outstanding candidates working in Combinatorics with interests in one of the following areas: extremal graph theory, Ramsey theory, probabilistic combinatorics, additive combinatorics.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working and collaborating on research projects. The precise research topic(s) will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on their background, expertise and affinities.
- Actively contributing to departmental and group activities such as teaching exercise classes and participating in reading groups.
Profile
- Candidates should have (or be near completion of) a PhD in mathematics.
- A strong research record in Combinatorics.
- Proficiency in English. EPFL’s global setting makes English the primary language of instruction and interaction, with no requirement for French.
