Postdoctoral Position in Spectroscopy
Mission
The Laboratory of Nanoscience for Energy Technologies (LNET) is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to contribute to the ongoing research effort on metasurfaces for optical, energy and quantum devices. In particular, our research investigates photo-thermo-optical nonlinearities for reconfigurable metasurfaces and leverages non-linear metasurfaces for the investigation of interfacial phenomena.
Main duties and responsibilities
The candidate will lead the development of spectroscopic methods for the characterization of linear and non-linear metasurfaces. The candidate will have the opportunity to supervise both PhD students and junior researchers (BSc/MSc students).
Keywords: spectroscopy, nanophotonics, metasurfaces, non-linear optics.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in highly inter-disciplinary and challenging projects. The ideal profile would have:
- Strong background and expertise in linear and/or non-linear spectroscopy
- Strong experience with the design and characterization of metasurfaces
- Strong expertise in the design and realization of optical characterization set-ups
- Excellent communication and writing skills
We are a highly collaborative group and therefore we seek candidates with excellent team-work capabilities and interpersonal skills.
We offer
- 1 year contract (renewable) with very favorable employment conditions.
- State-of-the-art research facilities within the lab and on-campus
- Young, dynamic and international group with strong focus on excellence and innovation.
