Mission

The laboratory of Construction Materials under the lead of Professor Scrivener, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher responsible of the X-ray diffractometer in the filed of cement research. 

Main duties and responsibilities

The candidate will work on several activities, including:

  • Research activities in the cement field, including international collaborations.
  • Responsibility of the X-ray diffractometer and of the training.
  • Support in the maintenance and training of other equipment.
  • Teaching activities, including undergraduate and graduate courses on construction materials to students in Material Science and Civil Engineering.
  • Co-supervision of PhD students.
  • Supervision of Bachelor and Master students’ semester projects.
  • Support in the coordination of the group, including ordering of chemicals and laboratory consumables.

Profile

The candidate must

  • Hold a PhD degree in the field of cement research.
  • Have experience in X-ray powder diffraction and other advanced characterization techniques. 
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) - French, a real asset.
