Mission
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a 1.5‐year position (extendable) at EPFL, Switzerland. The position is focused on developing Ultra-low-power (analog, digital) ASIC. The candidate will contribute to an Innosuisse‐funded project focused on developing a smart patch for sweat analysis (with a very clear application and planned roadmap), in collaboration on with industry and research hospital partners. The host laboratory is the Bio/CMOS Interfaces Laboratory of Professor Sandro Carrara, located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Join our dynamic team of young entrepreneurs aiming to create the next‐generation of wearables powered by electrochemical biosensors. This is a unique opportunity for highly motivated PhD graduates who are eager to go beyond traditional postdoctoral research. Together, we will not only publish fantastic papers but also develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of Swiss society.

- Track record of at least one tape-out with 180nm CMOS node
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre (DRC, LVS, QRC)
- Skills in analog design (not RF), digital synthesis, layout, and place and route are essential
- Familiar with designing extremely small and ultra-low-power ICs, including switched capacitor circuits, biomedical signal acquisition paths (amplifiers, ADC, DAC) and energy-efficient battery power management
- Experience in the full characterization of ASIC performance
- Ability to assist in integrating the ASIC into the overall system
- Background/Experience in embedded system development (harware/software/mobile app) is a plus
